ATOMIC: ADVERTISING IS CHANGED

These guys were asked to name the most fascinating (and important) part of the advertising- and marketing-scape. The resounding answer: innovations in media. It’s true—you can no longer separate the creative idea or brand message from the medium. And to that end, we’ve come up with AToMiC. It’s about the people who are bending the rules. The game-changers. The visionaries. The iconoclasts. Whether they’re giving an old medium a modern twist—or taking a cutting-edge technology and exploiting it in an unusual way—our presenters all use media in a surprising, compelling way. And one that works for brands. If you’re on the media, creative or client side, join us for the day and learn how to get ahead in this climate of rapid innovation and unbridled creativity.

It’s a new kind of event for a new age of advertising.

SKYPE’S FUTURE IN QUESTION

Skype's online phone and video communication service has been incredibly popular.

For 480 million people, this is a big deal.

A legal battle has put the future of Skype in jeopardy, according to eBay, which owns the online communications system.  If Skype loses the right to use a key part of its software and can’t create an adequate replacement, “Skype’s business as currently conducted would likely not be possible,” eBay said in its quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Fabulous Festival of Fringe Film

ffff

The moniker film festival is something of a misnomer, considering the expansive nature of film, video and multimedia that has incrementally grown to become a significant feature of this festival and the art world in general. Nevertheless, this ever expanding visual repertoire continues its dissection and critique of the pressing issues of the day, in an increasingly fragile world.
